Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leanne. I’m a lifelong Californian. My first book, a novel-in-collected stories called California Is an Earthquake, is coming out in fall 2027 from Sibylline Press. Yes, I’ll be a 67-year-old debut author!

I’m also an Author Accelerator book coach, certified in fiction, nonfiction, and memoir, and a professional editor. I earned an MFA from UC Riverside Palm Desert, a BA in English with an emphasis in creative writing and a minor in history from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a copyediting certificate from UC San Diego.

Oh, and I have a day job: I’m a civil litigation paralegal. I like to keep busy!

Me and Orso, a loveable lagotto romagnolo who belongs to my friends Trey and Flinn, in San Simeon, California. We’d just toured Hearst Castle, where we ran into Rich Sommer from Mad Men. Mad Men is always my answer when someone asks if there’s a TV series I wish I’d written. This was a good day for Leanne!
